Google SSO Update for Improved Compatibility
Summary:
To maintain seamless Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality following the deprecation of the Google Plus API, we’ve updated our integration with Google’s latest APIs. This update ensures continued support for both legacy and new Googl
What’s Changed:
New APIs Used: We’ve replaced the deprecated Google Plus API with current Google APIs to retrieve user profile information.
Gender Data Requirement: Gender information is now optional and requires the Google People API. If not enabled, gender data will no longer be available.
User Information Consistency: Basic profile data (name, email) is reliably retrieved across both legacy and new SSO setups.
Customer Impact:
Legacy Customers: Most legacy configurations remain unaffected. However, gender information will only be available if the Google People API is enabled in the customer’s Google SSO configuration.

Security and Compliance:
All API communications follow data security best practices, maintaining privacy and compliance with data protection standards.
